Alec Ilstrup (b. 1998, Santa Clara, CA) is an American photographer based in Brooklyn, NY. He was born in the San Francisco Bay Area but grew up in Seattle, WA. His work tends to focus on themes such as relationships, family dynamics, masculinity and adolescence. He attends Pratt Institute and studies photography with a minor in art history. He is the founder of Blue Hour Press, an independent magazine and publisher of small edition photo books and zines.
Ilstrup’s photographic work has been exhibited in online galleries and print such as Visual Space, Gibberish One, and All My Friends.
